“Gretel” Will be Appearing in the June Issue of Luna Station Quarterly

This is pretty nuts, after months of feeling buried by rejection letters, I’ve received THREE acceptances over the past three months. The latest one comes Luna Station Quarterly, a long running magazine dedicated to publishing short fiction by female authors. They’ve accepted my short story “Gretel” which is a modern retelling of the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale. It was a lot of fun to get into the mind of Gretel, who I saw as a tough tween who really cares about her little brother, Hansel.

Gretel will be available to read on LSQ’s website next month. They also sell ebooks of their issues through weightlessbooks.

I’m very excited to have my work appear in this magazine. I’d like to say that next month we’ll get a yet another acceptance letter, but the truth is I don’t really have anything out there right now. It’s a good thing I’m working on short fiction in this month!

  1. That’s awesome and congratulations! Keeping my fingers crossed that the additional information about previously published short story will positively affect the novel submission.
